DIAGNOSTICS

Treatment

Modern dentistry is impossible without radiographic diagnostics. At Aregak Dental Clinic, we use one of the most advanced 5th-generation CBCT systems — J. Morita, a world-class cone-beam computed tomography unit.

Our clinic is equipped with cutting-edge digital X-ray and 3D imaging technologies, ensuring precise, safe, and highly effective diagnostics and treatment. Many dental problems begin deep within the teeth, under the gums, or in the bone tissue — areas invisible to the naked eye. Modern diagnostic systems make it possible to detect hidden conditions, establish an accurate diagnosis, and plan treatment with exceptional precision.

Computed Tomography (CT Scan)

A jaw CT scan is a modern, high-precision diagnostic method that provides a three-dimensional image of the teeth, bone structures, and surrounding tissues. Unlike a conventional X-ray, it reveals not only the overall picture but also the finest details that are impossible to see on a 2D image.:
Advantages:
 • Three-dimensional precision — the doctor can examine teeth and bone structure from any angle.
 • Safety — radiation exposure is dozens of times lower than with traditional X-ray imaging.
 • Early diagnosis — helps detect inflammation, cysts, cracks, and other pathologies at their earliest stages.
 • Accurate treatment planning — essential for implantology, orthodontics, wisdom tooth extractions, and surgical procedures.
 • Patient comfort — the procedure is painless, takes only a few minutes, and requires no preparation.

CT Scans Are Recommended For

 • Pre-implantation assessment;
 • Evaluation of bone structure;
 • Wisdom tooth removal or pre-surgical planning;
 • Suspected cysts, tumors, or inflammatory processes;
 • Complex orthodontic or therapeutic cases.

Computed tomography ensures accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning — allowing the dentist to see the complete picture and select the safest, most optimal course of care.

Accurate imaging makes it possible to:
  • avoid unexpected situations during treatment;
  • ensure a safe and effective intervention;
  • detect issues at an early stage — before pain or complications arise; personalize the treatment.
Safety

Yes, modern digital X-rays and CT scans are completely safe. At Aregak Dental Clinic, we use digital imaging technology that minimizes radiation exposure. Scans are prescribed only when truly necessary. Your safety is our top priority.

DIAGNOcam

DIAGNOcam is an innovative diagnostic device that detects caries and hidden tooth damage without the use of X-rays and without any radiation exposure.

It works on the principle of transillumination —` infrared light passes through the tooth, producing a high-resolution image of its internal structure on the screen. What It Detects:

  • Early-stage caries (white-spot lesions);
  • Hidden decay between teeth;
  • Cracks in enamel and dentin;
  • Changes around fillings and restorations.
Advantages of DIAGNOcam:
  • Absolute safety — no radiation, suitable for children and pregnant women.
  • Early detection — identifies caries at the earliest stage, when treatment can still be minimally invasive.
  • Comfort — painless procedure, requires no preparation.
  • High accuracy — reveals defects that may be invisible on standard X-rays.
  • Clarity — results are displayed immediately on screen, allowing the patient to see the condition of their teeth in real time.
Applications:
  • Preventive check-ups;
  • Diagnosis of interproximal caries;
  • Monitoring fillings and restorations;
  • Tracking caries progression without repeated X-rays.
Digital X-Ray

Digital radiography is a fast, low-dose method for obtaining two-dimensional images of the teeth and jaws. It can be performed intraorally (inside the mouth) or panoramically (externally).

When It’s Used:

During routine examinations, before fillings, endodontic treatment, or extractions; To detect hidden dental problems; To monitor tooth development in children and adolescents.

Oral Examination

Oral health plays a vital role in overall well-being. Microorganisms present in the mouth can assist in digestion and vitamin synthesis, but they can also release substances that damage tooth tissues. A comprehensive oral examination allows the dentist to determine not only the location and nature of a condition but also to predict its progression and outcome. Based on these findings, the doctor selects the most appropriate treatment approach.

Diagnostic Methods in Clinical Dentistry Include:
  • Patient interview and history-taking;
  • Visual examination of the oral cavity and tooth surfaces using mirrors and illumination;
  • Palpation of gums, mucosa, tongue, lymph nodes, and TMJ to detect tenderness or abnormalities;
  • Percussion testing — assessing tooth sensitivity through gentle tapping with a dental instrument.

At Aregak Dental Clinic, our experienced team accompanies you at every stage, ensuring comfort, confidence, and complete support throughout your diagnostic and treatment process.
